early christmas gift

got the best gift yesterday...we found out it's a boy! i am so excited to mix things up and have a little boy this time around, what is he going to look like?! marley was so excited to see her brother on the tv and kept asking for more. so glad i found out before christmas, now all my gifts can revolve around our little man.

minor rearraging

happened in marleys room and i dont know why it took me so long to do it. her bookshelf used to be in her closet out of her reach, not anymore. down on her floor where she can access it whenever she wants. she loves to read, and now she does it all on her own.

i would recommend it

i went and got one of these bad boys for marley yesterday. i can not wait to give it to her for christmas. the thing actually works, and the front detaches for portable use. only thing is the husband might think its bordering on child labor. but if she loves to do it, and i know she does because her friend has a similar one, why not have it be working right?

feeling grown up

so this year was my first time putting on thanksgiving. cherilyn came out to give us some family love and it was so good to have her out. everything turned out pretty good, even though we only had to make dinner for us, i still felt a little chaotic, so i can't imagine how my mom used to pull it off for 45 people. i'm amazed, and grateful for her.

small town livin'

living in a tiny town doesn't come with much excitement but they do little things that make it worth it...this weekend our square had a lighting ceremony complete with pony and camel rides, local entertainment, carnival food, and more. it was fun to take the kids to and our little city looked like a cookie cutter christmas fest, in a good way. it made me want to rush home and mix up some hot cocoa.

thank goodness

for an auntie and grandma who love to spoil marley and send her unexpected packages with new toys, books, outfits, candy, and more. now her semi unsupervised time looks more like this...

and less like this...no harm done, only half of my face lotion gone. i'm not sure i can get over how big she looks with her piggies in.

halloween festivities

we had fun this year with our little candy fiend. we had a party earlier this week tricked out with a haunted house, a cupcake decorating station, balloons galore, and lots of friends.



trunk or treat was on the big day. needless to say, our ward is huge and marley hit the jackpot there. she would size up each candy before she would put it in her bag, and more often then not open it and eat it on the spot. so she was grounded from trick or treating later that night...or i was just too tired.

cha cha cha changes

we couldn't be happier about this change. we are so excited to meet the new little peanut in april! now if only i could start feeling normal.
